Lymphoma Chloroma

Natural History

  • precursors to Acute myelocytic leukemia
  • most common sites are orbit and cranialfacial bones
  • children more often affected than adults
  • As survival rates for AML improve # of patients with relaspse with chloroma is increasing.

Clinical Presentation and Work-up

  • Intraorbital (retrobulbar)
  • Intracerebral
  • CBC and neurologic testing
  • open biopsy
  • PET-CT

Radiation Therapy

  • Extremely radiosensitive responding to as low as 4 Gy
  • 30 Gy is the maximum needed for local control
