Risk Factors for Stomal recurrence after total laryngectomy [1] [2]

  • subglottic involvement
  • preoperative (emergent) tracheotomy
  • paratracheal lymph node metastasis

Treatment

  • 1000 cGy in 5 fractions with 0.5 cm bolus
  • dosed to 90% isodose line after 45-50 Gy to neck and SC.
